In preparation to open my own clinic, I was given the opportunity to shadow Erin at her own. She provided me with great insight and training, educating me on procedures and techniques. Erin King has helped me extend my skills and knowledge in nursing through her Advanced Foot and Lower Limb Care course. Erin is an amazing teacher and very passionate about her work and about the health of others. Studying foot care and completing her course has really shown me what an amazing career this is and what I can build for myself. Through my clinical days, I saw Erin’s passion for the overall well being of anyone who walked through her door. She is extremely welcoming to all her students and patients who require her help. Erin King, RPN/Podortho® Foot Specialist is an innovator, educator, and advocator. She has been working for many years to elevate and standardize our profession in advanced nursing foot and lower limb care. Erin has always maintained a positive and supportive environment and ensures her educational program and founded association advocates for higher education and a cooperative environment for the betterment of all Foot Care and Podortho® Foot Specialists provincially. The Ontario Foot Care Association Inc. holds the title Podortho® Foot Specialist as a registered trademark and ensures advanced postgraduate education is standardized in our speciality area of nursing. Erin has worked tirelessly to build awareness of the Podortho® Foot Specialist title, ensuring patients/ clients who receive foot and lower limb care are reimbursed for their care received from a nurse and that Podortho® Foot Specialists are recognized and respected by private health insurance companies, Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association, government agencies, similar professions, and the College of Nurses of Ontario respectively.

Exceptional learning experience. I was always worried about leaving the hospital and not getting to perform a lot of skills but this program has opened my eyes to what advanced footcare is all about. It’s not just about cutting nails, corns and callous there is so much more to becoming a footcare nurse and this programs teaches that.

I have completed the Podortho Foot Care course and it was an amazing experience! The program was established to allow learning online, and in clinic for hands on experience. This is the best choice I ever made! I did a lot research between choose podortho nursing or regular foot care, I never regret for a second that I took this course. It gives me more options and I am more confident when I start to work independently, I think it's really benefit for the clients who come to you that they will get more suggestion and more thoroughly assessed. Also I have Erin's help all the time when I start to work alone, every time I email her with questions, she responds right away.
